Our Story

Great Beer. Good People. Brighter Days.

Bright Eye is a colourful, slightly weird neighbourhood brewery in Kamloops built around a pretty simple idea: good things happen when good people get together.

Sometimes that means a couple of pints and a burger with an old friend. Sometimes there’s a band playing. Sometimes there are dogs everywhere. Maybe it’s trivia night, an art show, a community fundraiser, a new beer on tap, or something we haven't thought of yet.

That's kind of the point.

We take our beer seriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously.

We brew beers that are interesting, approachable and occasionally a little unexpected. Our kitchen makes food worth coming back for. And we've built Bright Eye to be the kind of place where you can settle into the bar, bring a group of friends, meet somebody new, catch some music, celebrate something, or just make an ordinary Tuesday a little better.

We're a brewery first.

We love experimenting, creating new beers and putting our own spin on the styles we love. Some are familiar. Some are colourful. Some are weird. That's half the fun.

Good People.

Bright Eye has always been about the people who fill the room.

Our staff. Our regulars. Musicians. Artists. Local organizations. Families. Friends. Neighbours. Travellers passing through. And, whenever possible, their dogs.

You don't need to know anything about craft beer to belong here.

We think a brewery should be more than somewhere you buy a beer.

It should add something to the neighbourhood.

A place for music, food, art, celebrations, community events, ridiculous ideas and nights that accidentally run an hour longer than planned.

We're independent, local, colourful, creative, playful and proudly unpretentious.
